Garden of Hope
The Bow Garden Club has been planting this garden since 2010 and it is indeed a “labor of love”. Many of our returning volunteers get together annually to re-plant the Garden of Hope that is located among the athletic fields of Memorial Field on South Fruit Street in Concord. The garden is a 10’x20’ cancer ribbon-shaped garden bordered with granite pavers. It is a place of solace and meditation and is the starting off point of the annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk” each October. We have been planting the garden since 2010 and it is indeed a “labor of love”.
As you will see by the accompanying photos, they have their work cut out for them each year before they get to planting the 80 pots of “Arluno Dark Pink” mums, tucking them in just right to form a solid “ribbon of pink”.
