Container Garden Project
- What started as a idea back in June 2022 is now a reality. In September 2022 a proposal was presented and approved by Town of Bow, Bow Rotary, and Bow Men’s Club. To help mitigate the cost of the project a grant was submitted to the National Garden Club and (with over 180 applicants) BGC was selected and awarded a $1,000 grant for the project in December 2022. Generous sponsorship for 5 large, 7 medium and 5 small self watering containers was obtained from local business, members and the community. In mid-April 2023 the BGC Container Garden Committee met with Kris Reynolds from Karmic Landscapers to finalize construction needs for the river rock bed and, that same week Kris generously donated his labor to the project to complete the work. Vice President Erika Flewelling designed the individual planting needs for each of the 17 containers and on Memorial Monday the containers were prepped, positioned and planted with over 120 flowers and plants. It takes a Community to make a project happen. Thank you everyone involved.
